Eco&Sols regularly organises professional development courses as well as masterclasses for research scientists. These are seminars on a given theme, that may last for one to several weeks and which bring together groups of young, dedicated research scientists from various research units.

Target audience
Professional development courses for those working in agriculture and teachers from agricultural lycées
Aims
- Refresh knowledge of soil organisms (microorganisms, micro-, meso- and macrofauna, plant roots) and the functions of these organisms, in particular those linked to the carbon and nutrient cycles.
- Acquire a basic understanding of diagnostics and soil quality indicators related to the various biological activities, both theoretical and in the field.

Target audience
Students and research scientists
Aims
Given the current interest in evaluating the effects of environmental and climate change and the study of populations subject to variations in resources, it seems important to look at consumer-resource models, their foundations and analysis. This course sets out
- To provide an introduction to standard models, together with discussion on their hypotheses
- To present extensions to these models and recent development, driven by aspects of research into agronomy and the environment.
The course starts from “simple” models, looking at their foundations and showing the contribution from mathematical tools and numerical simulations in order to explain or predict ecological and biological “messages”
